‘Lucky Bhaskar’ the story of a crime without a victim. It seems that greed is only harmful when it is unchecked. Additionally, an honest middle-class man’s opportunity to inherit fortune could just as easily be a victimless crime.
“Lucky Bhaskar,” which features Dulquer Salman at his most relaxed, is a lavish show. In Bombay in the 1990s, a humble man with a meager 6000 Rupee salary from a small bank position finds it difficult to make ends meet. He has a lot of debt because he must care for his paralyzed father, brother, sister, wife, and son. He takes a risk that completely alters his life and sets it on a different course after being passed over for a well-earned promotion at work that would have resolved his issues.
Through a well-meaning acquaintance named Anthony, who lays out his course for him but leaves the story before catastrophe occurs, he is introduced to the world of money laundering and smuggling. Throughout the film, Lucky Bhaskar conveys the idea of “knowing when to stop.”
Even when Bhaskar was honest, he was a wise man. Despite his efforts, he is not given a promotion at work. He takes matters into his own hands and uses his cunning to commit a series of seemingly victimless crimes, changing his life forever in the process. Bhaskar is driven by his desire to see his family happy, which is the real motivator of a middle-class man.His moral compass spins once more when a well-known character from the scandal world enters his life after he decides to take a sabbatical since he feels like he has accomplished enough.
Although Harshad Mehta, who is renamed Harsha Mehra in Lucky Bhaskar, does not really appear in the film, he gives Bhaskar, who now holds a good job, a lot of fresh options. It was intriguing to observe the viewpoint of a fictionalized version of Harshad Mehta’s scandal from the viewpoint of a bank official who was completely linked with him but never met him. The filmmaker, Venky Atluri, has produced a comprehensive story that is flawless throughout.
